More Than Tutoring

What sets The Brain Bodega apart? Our education services are "more than tutoring" because of our personalized approach to supporting each student’s unique learning needs, enabling students to thrive via academic mentoring and coaching. We know there’s nothing more precious to you than your children and helping them overcome their learning challenges, so they can become their best selves. Our team supports students by pairing them up with a hand-selected academic mentor or coach, who has been extensively vetted and background checked. We know quality and safety are important to you.

Learning requires more than memorizing content. We understand that everyone learns differently and that learning challenges don't stop when students step out of the classroom.  We take the responsibility of helping learners to heart. This is why we take the time to get to know each student and work to alleviate the unnecessary stresses that an entire family might face when a student is facing learning challenges.

Our academic mentors will work with your child or teen to master their content knowledge, while simultaneously helping them develop the executive functions that impact their learning (time management, organizational skills, communication skills, confidence building, and managing stress) so that your kid can become successful in the classroom and beyond.

Services for Children Facing Medical Challenges

We are committed to helping all students, and we especially love being able to bring hope to children facing medical challenges, like cancer or sickle cell. We have extensive experience working with pediatric oncology patients and work hard to lighten the burden their families face when trying to help their kids keep up with school. These children and teens are struggling with school and learning challenges that resulted from days (or months) of missing school, the latent effects of chemotherapy and radiation, and the stresses that come along with having a long-term medical issue. Over the past few years our team, under the leadership of The Brain Bodega’s CEO (a childhood cancer survivor herself), has developed a level of expertise in working with cancer kids. We hope to stand as a beacon of light for these families and all educators looking for guidance and support when it comes to helping these cancer kids, and other kids like them.
